ILUNION Hotels Restaurants Cook for a Good Cause Once Again
ILUNION Hotels Restaurants Cook for a Good Cause Once Again
October 20, 2026
From September 15 to November 15, choosing a solidarity dish at participating hotels helps support families facing vulnerable situations.
LUNION Hotels is once again taking part in “Restaurantes contra el Hambre“, the campaign led by Action Against Hunger, now in its 17th edition. Selected dishes on the restaurants’ menus are marked as solidarity dishes, and a portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated to the initiative.
How it works
Each hotel donates between €0.50 and €2.00 for every solidarity dish sold, depending on the margin of the dish.
The donation is made by the hotel itself, meaning menu prices remain unchanged for guests. Customers can identify these dishes through a QR code on digital menus and a sticker on printed menus. Informational brochures are also available on restaurant tables
Two hotels join the initiative
The 17 hotels that participated in the previous edition are joined this year by ILUNION Miramar and ILUNION Fuengirola. Funds raised will be allocated to social assistance cards that help families in Spain purchase food and prepared meals, among other forms of support.
A commitment to people
The campaign reflects ILUNION Hotels’ business model, which focuses on creating opportunities for people with disabilities and individuals in vulnerable situations.
According to Elena Martín Cuesta, Director of Sustainability and Excellence at ILUNION Hotels:
“Eating nutritious food is a basic necessity, but not all families can afford it. With every solidarity dish, our customers and teams help more people access healthy meals.”
Results from the previous edition
In the last edition, ILUNION Hotels raised €13,796 through Restaurants Against Hunger and Solidarity Dish, the company’s own initiative that allows guests to continue supporting the cause throughout the year. Since 2020, the total amount raised has reached €53,407. The company had previously participated in the initiative through its «Restaurantes contra el Hambre» solidarity dishes.
The relationship between ILUNION Hotels and Action Against Hunger extends beyond this campaign. In January 2024, both organizations signed a framework agreement to expand their joint social initiatives, including employment and training programs for people facing vulnerability. This partnership contributes to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger.
There is still time to participate
The campaign remains open. Guests can support the initiative by choosing a solidarity dish at any participating restaurant. ILUNION Hotels will announce the total amount raised once the campaign concludes.
