Sustainability Across the Value Chain

For ILUNION Hotels, sustainability means integrating social and environmental concerns into business strategy and management. It is understood as a comprehensive and cross-cutting concept that goes far beyond environmental management alone, in line with the values of the ONCE Social Group.

“We want to view all our activities, our hotels, every process and small action through the lens of sustainability, promoting a cultural shift in environmental management to become leaders in this field. We want our hotels to be schools for conscious individuals who drive the transformation of our communities and society,” explains José Ángel Preciados, CEO of ILUNION Hotels.

ILUNION Hotels, which integrates sustainability criteria throughout its value chain, aims to lead a form of tourism that is not only inclusive and accessible, but also environmentally responsible, while promoting leisure and enjoyment for all people.
“We know that tourism can be a powerful vehicle for transmitting values, and that’s why we want to inspire a new way of understanding this sector—so that when our clients choose us, they know they are contributing to a major social impact project,” Preciados adds.

The hotel chain’s Sustainability Master Plan (2022–2025) will be aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will enhance ILUNION’s contribution to the 2030 Agenda.
