ILUNION Hotels and TecnoHotel have opened the second edition of The 25+ Most Innovative in the Tourism Sector, the accolade that honors professionals driving tourism innovation through technology, sustainability, accessibility, and purposeful leadership.

Following the success of the first edition, which exceeded 150 applications, this initiative once again puts the spotlight on those transforming the industry: hotel chains, independent hotels, technology providers, startups, travel agencies, catering and transportation companies, tourist destinations, public organizations, and academia.


How to participate in The 25+ Most Innovative in the Tourism Sector


Since June 19, any professional can submit their application, or nominate someone else, on the official website for The 25+ Most Innovative in the Tourism Sector. The registration period closes on September 8, 2026, and achievements developed during 2025 and 2026 will be evaluated.

Subsequently, an independent jury will assess each application based on their innovative mindset, leadership capacity, project execution, use of technology, connection with the tourism ecosystem, and measurable impact. The outcome will be a list of 25 innovative profiles in tourism, along with three special recognitions.

Tourism Innovation with a Social Purpose


This accolade reflects the vision of ILUNION Hotels: understanding innovation not just as technological advancement, but as a driver of positive impact on companies and the environment that surrounds them.

According to Carlos Bello, Director of Innovation, Technology, and Transformation at ILUNION Hotels, the goal is to give visibility to those leading the transformation of tourism through a commitment to a more inclusive and sustainable society.

Awards Ceremony at TIS Seville 2026


Additionally, there will be an awards gala to honor the prominent profiles. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., within the framework of TIS Seville, one of the benchmark events for tourism innovation in Spain.

In this way, this second edition arrives not only to recognize innovation as a lever for well-being, but also to strengthen the collaboration between ILUNION Hotels and TecnoHotel, both committed to contributing to sustainable and inclusive tourism, while seeking a real social impact.
