ILUNION HOTELS PARTNERS WITH THE HOTEL TECHNOLOGICAL INSTITUTE
The Hotel Technological Institute (IHT in Spanish) partners with ILUNION Hotels.
Our hotel chain offers a social model for the tourism industry. In 2017, it had an average staff of 959 workers, 361 of whom were people with disabilities, i.e., 38%.
ILUNION Hotels currently has 26 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels in 12 destinations across Spain – four in Madrid, four in Barcelona, four in Valencia, two in Cádiz, three in Málaga, two in Mérida and one each in Badajoz, Seville, Menorca, Huelva, Girona, Zaragoza and Bilbao.
It is the only hotel chain in Spain with the universal accessibility certification (UNE 170001-2) in its establishments and the QSostenible certificate, proving the sustainability of its buildings.
ILUNION Hotels is also the first Spanish company to receive the Ethics Award from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for its work in the field of accessible tourism.
Our hotels respond to the concept of “design for all”, offering important technical aids for people with disabilities, including accessible desks, magnetic loops, emergency buttons, portable fire alarm and alarm clock and cane holders.
According to the Managing Director of ILUNION Hotels, José Ángel Preciados, this partnership signifies a “clear focus on digital transformation as a driver of change in the hotel industry with a strategic partner like ITH by our side”.
At the Hotel Technological Institute (ITH), we welcome the chance to work with this pioneering hotel chain, as ITH works specifically for the interests of hotels, looking for simple and practical solutions that optimise their management based on four strategic pillars: New Technologies, Hotel Operations, Energy Efficiency and Environment, and Innovation.
