ILUNION HOTELS has strengthened its collaboration with Action Against Hunger through the signing of a partnership agreement that reinforces their existing relationship. The hotel group has supported this humanitarian organisation for years, particularly through one of its most well-known initiatives, Hospitality Against Hunger. This solidarity campaign brings together many hotels and restaurants across the country, which donate part of the proceeds from special charity dishes and menus on their menus. The funds raised are allocated to Action Against Hunger’s programmes in Spain, which focus on improving the employability of people in vulnerable situations—a goal that is deeply aligned with the mission of ILUNION Hotels.
Now, this collaboration takes a step further through a formal alliance that joins both organisations in their shared commitment to building a better world where everyone is included.
Present at the signing were the CEO of ILUNION Hotels, José Ángel Preciados, and the General Director of Action Against Hunger, Olivier Longué. Preciados highlighted, “One of the most positive aspects of this alliance is being able to provide training opportunities, through various programmes, for people who face difficulties entering the job market.”
Furthermore, Longué expressed great satisfaction after the signing of this alliance: “At Action Against Hunger, we believe in employment and entrepreneurship as tools for accessing a dignified life. This is the foundation that allows people to have adequate and healthy nutrition. Our fight to promote social inclusion and improve society is the common purpose of this alliance,” he concludes.
To conclude the signing, ILUNION Hotels presented a charity check for €10,765.50 to the “Hospitality Against Hunger” project. This sum is €2,400 more than the amount raised last year, demonstrating the growing support for this initiative.
