HOTEL ILUNION ALCORA, HOSPITAL FOR OUR ELDERLY
Another one of our hotels joins the support against COVID-19. ILUNION Alcora in Seville cedes its spaces to SAMU, Emergency Medical Care Service, to attend the elderly.
Since last Friday, 27 March, the hotel began to welcome the first elderly people affected by the coronavirus. Part of the facilities have been medicalised and equipped with intensive care boxes where the first elderly people from nursing homes that did not comply with the necessary measures for their care are treated.
As has happened with other hotels from the chain in Madrid, the ILUNION Alcora has made five rooms available to the company SAMU on the ground floor of the hotel to be used to house various intensive care boxes and to convert them into a medicalised care centre to guarantee care for the elderly. Likewise, ten hotel rooms have been fitted out for the rest of the health staff who will be looking after these elderly people.
Days before, our colleagues in Seville, demonstrated their responsibility to society by donating 300 kg of food to Mater et Magistra, an organisation that has been working for several decades with people with intellectual disabilities and their families, based in Mairena del Aljarafe.
