ILUNION Caleta Park renews its image with an Innovative, Accessible, and Sustainable approach

The hotel’s former wine cellar is reborn as “El Celler de S’Agaró”, a gourmet corner where guests can taste and buy local products

ILUNION Hotels has completed the renovation of its Costa Brava hotel, ILUNION Caleta Park, which has been redesigned with an innovative, accessible, and sustainable approach. Focused on reinventing some of its spaces to merge design and comfort, sustainability and functionality have been paramount in each of the projects carried out at the property.

Not only does the renovation seek to enhance the guest experience but also to further position the brand as a hospitality company guided by sustainability in an increasingly competitive market.

ILUNION Caleta Park, located next to the picturesque S’Agaró cove, on the beachfront, features a design that adapts to its location and surroundings. With an approach that facilitates practical and versatile solutions, it stands out for its simplicity and adaptability, all geared toward the well-being of all guests, regardless of their individual needs.

“Our goal is to offer a memorable experience that will remain in the memory and allow us to stand out in an increasingly competitive sector,” says Beatriz Miguel, Business Director of ILUNION Hotels.

The renovation of Caleta Park involved a meticulous study of the design and the use of certified natural and recycled materials. This choice aims to minimize energy consumption and create a universal and sustainable design that aligns with the company’s values. In this sense, sustainability is at the heart of this project, reflected in every detail, from materials to resource management.

Building a better world with everyone included

By applying universal‑design principles, ILUNION Hotels reinforces its commitment to inclusion for all. The Girona‑based hotel has been adapted to offer environments, processes, products, and services reflecting the diversity of its guests.

“Our approach is rooted in actively listening to and observing each person’s needs, so we can reach excellence in inclusion and accessibility, ensuring no one is left behind,” adds Marta Matas, the hotel’s General Manager.

The company’s commitment to accessibility goes beyond compliance. Its hotels are ever‑evolving spaces, with creative adaptations that respect diversity and foster guest autonomy. These improvements make every service and area safe and functional, turning accessibility into a seamlessly integrated feature.

“Spaces should evoke emotion. While accessibility is often linked to technical criteria and an outdated, utilitarian image, at ILUNION Hotels we believe accessibility and good design are perfectly compatible. Our aim is for accessibility to be so naturally integrated that guests hardly notice it,” Beatriz Miguel concludes.

El Celler de S’Agaró: the new gourmet corner with local flavor

One standout transformation is the hotel’s former wine cellar, now El Celler de S’Agaró—a warm, authentic space where guests can savor some of Cataluña’s finest flavors.

El Celler offers a unique sensory experience, featuring cheeses from the Girona Pyrenees, artisanal cured meats, Iberian products, and local specialties with Empordà and Penedès designations of origin, along with craft beers and regional Moscatell.
