ILUNION Hotels arrives in Mallorca and strengthens its presence in the Balearic Islands with a new property
ILUNION Hotels adds a new destination to its portfolio with the opening of ILUNION Palmanova Mallorca, its second hotel in the Balearic Islands. With this addition, the hotel division of the ILUNION group —part of the Grupo Social ONCE— reaches a total of 32 operational hotels in Spain, strengthening its presence in one of the country’s top tourist destinations.
The opening of ILUNION Palmanova Mallorca is in line with the roadmap set out in the 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, which includes the expansion of the hotel network by prioritizing key destinations and assets that allow the company’s model to be fully implemented.
This new addition is part of a sustainable growth strategy aligned with the company’s vision and values, aiming to combine economic profitability with social and environmental impact in the local communities where it operates, in pursuit of its mission: To build a better world that includes everyone.
“We have wanted to establish a presence in Mallorca for some time, and we are extremely proud to have achieved this with a hotel of the scale, features, and quality offered by this property. We are fully confident that the immediate action plan we intend to carry out will make both our new team members and future guests feel truly proud. This step allows us to continue strengthening our presence in strategic locations and to advance in balancing our portfolio between urban and holiday hotels,”, said José Ángel Preciados, CEO of ILUNION Hotels.
ILUNION Palmanova Mallorca: a privileged enclave in the Mediterranean
Located on Torrenova Street in the municipality of Calvià, ILUNION Palmanova Mallorca enjoys a prime location just 200 meters from San Maties Beach, one of the most popular beaches in the area. Nearby are some of the island’s most iconic coves, such as Cala Blanca, Cala Fornells o Camp de Mar.
The hotel spans nearly 16,000 m² and features 256 rooms distributed across seven floors, three outdoor pools, a Mediterranean cuisine restaurant, bar, gym, spa area, sea-view terrace, and a children’s area. Originally built in the 1970s and fully renovated in 2019, the building holds both BREEAM certification and the Biosphere seal, reflecting its commitment to responsible tourism and alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Every new opening must contribute to the company’s sustainability from day one. That means generating profitability, but also advancing our mission. This hotel allows us to continue consolidating a unique model in the industry, where economic return and people-centered values go hand in hand,”, adds Preciados.
This new addition marks another step forward in ILUNION Hotels’ commitment to an inclusive, more human, and sustainable hospitality model, where accessibility and operational excellence are seamlessly and consistently integrated into the daily operations of the organization.
