ILUNION Hotels has been awarded the Best Innovation in AI and Data Analytics at the 2024 Tourism Innovation Awards, held during the Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS). Competing with over 160 candidates worldwide, the recognition highlights the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, digitalization, and sustainability in the tourism industry.
The award specifically honors the BRILL-IA-NT project, a strategic initiative designed around innovation with purpose. Developed under ILUNION Hotels’ Competitive Intelligence System, the project aims to anticipate trends and tailor AI solutions to meet the evolving needs of the company, its employees, and its guests.


Throughout 2023 and 2024, ILUNION Hotels has conducted studies, surveys, and collaborated with members of the X-PACE technology ecosystem, such as Microsoft, Google, and Telefónica. These alliances have facilitated the integration of AI into its operations, optimizing products and services with a positive impact for all stakeholders. Furthermore, BRILL-AI-NT includes an AI training and awareness plan so that the company’s teams can make the most of technological tools and improve their effectiveness in creating inclusive experiences.
Carlos Bello, Director of Innovation at ILUNION Hotels, accepted the award in Seville at TIS 2024. “This recognition fuels our drive to continue leading innovation in the industry—creating value through technology that is not only economic, but also social—while setting new standards of quality and accessibility in the customer experience,” he stated.
