ILUNION Hotels drives inclusive employment with its Talent Day in Fuengirola

More than 400 people participated in the Talent Day, an initiative that reinforces inclusive employment on the Costa del Sol.

ILUNION Hotels successfully celebrated a new edition of its Talent Day in Fuengirola, a gathering aimed at bringing job opportunities closer to people interested in working in the hotel sector. The event, held on June 4th at the ILUNION Miramar hotel, brought together more than 400 attendees drawn by the company’s inclusive employment model, which belongs to the ILUNION business group and the ONCE social group.

During the event, participants accessed career guidance workshops and conducted interviews with the ILUNION Hotels People team, fostering a closer, more agile, and talent-centered selection process.

This gathering holds a special meaning for the company, as Fuengirola was the first city to host this talent attraction format. Since then, Talent Day has experienced significant growth both in participation and in its social impact on local communities.

An inclusive employment model that transforms the hotel sector in Fuengirola

This edition saw 445 registered individuals, of whom 33% indicated having some type of disability. These figures reflect the essence of Talent Day: transforming traditional selection processes by shifting the focus onto the capabilities, interests, and potential of each candidate beyond their resume.

Following the event, ILUNION Hotels expects to fill more than 50 vacancies across its establishments in the region —ILUNION Miramar, ILUNION Málaga, ILUNION Fuengirola, and ILUNION Hacienda de Mijas— in areas such as reception, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, administration, and entertainment.

Boosting local talent and collaborating with the social environment

The event was supported by Inserta Empleo from Fundación ONCE, as well as the participation of more than 80 social entities working with people with disabilities and vulnerable groups. Representatives from the employment departments of the City Councils of Fuengirola and Mijas were also present, strengthening the connection between the hotel sector and local development.
