Special Employment Centre

Our hotel, ILUNION Pío XII, has obtained certification as a Special Employment Centre (CEE). In doing so, it becomes the third urban hotel of its category managed under this model in Madrid, following the pioneering experience of ILUNION Suites and ILUNION Atrium.

To achieve this certification, at least 70% of the workforce must be persons with disabilities, which in the case of hotel ILUNION Pío XII accounts for 41 out of the 58 currently employed staff members.

The objective of this management model is the creation of jobs tailored for people with disabilities in order to promote their social and labor integration.

ILUNION Pío XII is the ninth property we manage as a Special Employment Centre, following ILUNION Suites Madrid, Atrium, Valencia 3 and 4, Barcelona, Auditori, Bel Art, and ILUNION Catering by Maher, our national catering company. It represents a unique and exemplary model of labor integration in the tourism sector.

ILUNION PÍO XII
The ILUNION Pío XII hotel holds a four-star rating and is located in the heart of Madrid’s financial district, near Paseo de la Castellana, just 10 minutes from the airport and IFEMA, and a few minutes from the Santiago Bernabéu stadium.

The property features 214 rooms, 5 of which are fully adapted for people with disabilities. As such, they feature accessible bathrooms for guests with reduced mobility, Braille signage, and technical aids such as magnetic loops, visual light doorbells for communication with deaf or hard-of-hearing guests from outside the room, vibrating alarm clocks, and portable vibrating fire alarms, among others.
