The CEO of ILUNION Hotels, José Ángel Preciados, and the president of Women Action Sustainability (WAS), Mónica Chao, have signed a framework collaboration agreement to work together for sustainability.
ILUNION Hotels and WAS will develop projects and actions aimed at promoting the social and labor inclusion of people with disabilities and groups at risk of exclusion, while also fostering inclusive and sustainable tourism and environmental protection, in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The main purpose of WAS is to elevate sustainability to the highest strategic level of companies, entities, institutions, and society. In addition to promoting the role of women in driving sustainability and creating forums for debate and discussion on environmental and good governance issues, another of its main objectives is to boost the commitment of companies, institutions, entities, and society to sustainability.
Both entities have placed sustainability at the heart of their strategy. In the case of the hotel company, they are committed to equal opportunities, placing people first. ILUNION Hotels CEO José Ángel Preciados emphasized: “We are a unique model in the world committed to society and the environment.”
For her part, WAS President Mónica Chao stated that she is proud to announce this type of alliance with ILUNION Hotels, as it is a company that is deeply aware of sustainability in its three dimensions: Environment, Social, and Good Governance, through its purpose of “building a better world with everyone included” and corporate values such as diversity and inclusion.
