We Present Our First Sustainability Report
We present our first Sustainability Report
We have released our first Sustainability Report, which outlines both the positive and negative impacts of the company in 2022. This document has been prepared to inform stakeholders about the organisation’s ESG accountability, as stated by our Sustainability Director, Elena Martín. She also highlighted that the Sustainability Report represents “an exercise in transparency that demonstrates our commitment to dialogue with stakeholders and to sharing our guidelines regarding the company’s sustainability strategy.”
“This is the most powerful tool an organisation has to voluntarily communicate its performance—whether positive or negative—in environmental, social, and governance matters. It also helps convey the company’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” explains Martín Cuesta.
In addition to being a significant challenge, elaborating this document for the first time has brought key benefits to the company:
- It contributes to improved organisational management by identifying risks and opportunities early.
- It enhances internal communication and employees’ sense of belonging.
- It increases reputation and strengthens the company’s positioning in terms of sustainability.
- It unifies messaging by offering stakeholders consistent, cross-cutting information that has been internally agreed upon, ensuring anyone who uses it has reliable data at all times.
The process required the collaboration of everyone due to the cross-cutting nature of the data collection. It was carried out following the recommendations of the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards—an independent, international organisation responsible for the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework.
This first Sustainability Report will be available on our website in accessible digital format in both Spanish and English, in printed versions in both languages, and in Braille.
