A Journey Toward Inclusion: ILUNION Hotels’ Pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela
Inclusion and Accessibility: Core Values of ILUNION Hotels
January 3, 2024
In a world where inclusion and accessibility are fundamental values, at ILUNION Hotels, as part of the ONCE Social Group corporation, we don’t just talk about commitment; we live it with every step we take. With 30 hotels certified for universal accessibility and a firm commitment to sustainability, ILUNION Hotels is much more than a hotel company. We are agents of change and promoters of conscious tourism and a more inclusive society.
In a bid to create a fairer, more inclusive, and compassionate world, part of our team recently embarked on a special journey to Santiago de Compostela. This was no ordinary Camino de Santiago: 111 pilgrims took part, 70 of whom are people with disabilities. Their clear goal was to prove that inclusion knows no boundaries. They didn’t just want to reach the finish line — they aimed to do so in the shortest possible time, challenging stereotypes and demonstrating that anything is possible with determination and mutual support.

Sustainability and Excellence in Management
ILUNION Hotels carries in its backpack numerous awards and certifications that endorse, beyond good management, key aspects like the sustainability of our buildings and the excellence of our services. But what truly fills the company with pride are the “impossibles” that have been transformed into wonderful, tangible realities — making a difference for the planet and, above all, its people; especially those most vulnerable. The company goes beyond disability: it actively promotes diversity and shows special sensitivity to vulnerability by firmly supporting people at risk of social exclusion.
We build a more humane, generous, and fair world.
We are ILUNION Hotels, but above all, we are our people. They make us unique and are the heart of the company — the true value of our organization. For all these reasons, we like to think that we don’t just promote conscious, inclusive, and accessible tourism, but that we also drive and build a better world: more human, generous, and fair. That’s the world we all dream of. Will you join us?
