March 02, 2026
ILUNION Hotels was recognized at the 2025 National Tourism Awards, an event organized by the Spanish Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers (FEPET) and Lassart Tourism that celebrates excellence in the sector. In this edition, the jury granted the award to the company by direct decision and without prior nomination, a fact that confirms its independence and consolidates it as the undisputed leader in innovation within the Spanish market.
Innovation with purpose: the #inovACCION model
This distinction validates a business model based on the culture of #InnovACCIÓN, a strategy that views innovation as a cross-cutting lever. Beyond technology, this management system structurally integrates universal accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability into the hotel’s DNA, always placing people at the center of the experience.
This methodology relies on active listening and strategic curiosity to generate real solutions. It is a collaborative system that transforms hotel management through three pillars: job inclusion, limitless accessibility, and environmental commitment. As Carlos Bello, the company’s Director of Innovation and Technology, points out: “This award recognizes a different way of understanding innovation: one that generates social impact and business competitiveness at the same time.”
A benchmark in inclusive tourism
Currently, ILUNION Hotels has 32 establishments and a team of 1,900 people, of whom nearly 60% have a disability or are in a situation of vulnerability. This pioneering model turns universal design into an operational standard that improves the traveler’s experience and strengthens business efficiency.
With this recognition, the company establishes itself as a leader in inclusive innovation, demonstrating that, in the tourism of the future, economic growth and social impact are not only compatible but strategically inseparable.
