We promote training for the integration of people with intellectual disabilities
Our Human Resources department, in collaboration with the A LA PAR Foundation, provided practical hospitality training to six students with intellectual disabilities in the kitchens of our ILUNION Pío XII hotel.
These practical training sessions, which lasted a total of 20 hours, were carried out thanks to the CAMPVS project—a higher education initiative created by the A LA PAR Foundation to meet the need for training young people with intellectual disabilities who complete their formal education and wish to continue developing their personal, social, and professional skills.
For five consecutive Fridays, these six young individuals experienced the day-to-day work of a kitchen, bar, and restaurant assistant. Preparing simple dishes, handling orders and food tickets, receiving and storing food, beverages, and tableware, as well as food packaging and preservation, were some of the tasks they learned thanks to our chain’s commitment to training people with disabilities to support their social and workplace integration.
